  • Q: Who is Healthy Advice?
    A: Healthy Advice® provides health-information programs to physician offices across the United States. Our mission is to help consumers and healthcare professionals make more informed health decisions by providing trusted, relevant and easy-to-understand health information when and where they need it. In 2008, for the fifth consecutive year, Healthy Advice was selected as a winner in the annual National Health Information Awards. This program recognizes the nation’s best consumer health information programs and materials.

  • Q: How can this program be free to physicians’ offices?
    A: Healthy Advice programs are sponsored and paid for by pharmaceutical and consumer health and wellness companies who, in turn, place product messages on the display units and in the brochures. The sponsor messages are similar in tone and content to magazine advertisements.

  • Q: How frequently are the brochures updated?
    A: The brochures are updated every four to six months.

  • Q: Who do we call if we need additional brochures?
    A: Healthy Advice has a fully staffed Practice Relations Team to assist you or you can submit a request online. Call us toll-free at 1-800-284-8314, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (ET) or e-mail us at PracticeRelations@HealthyAdvice.com.

  • Q: Do you always have the same sponsors?
    A: Not always; however, most sponsors participate for a 12-month period.

  • Q: Do sponsors control the editorial content of the brochures?
    A: No. The editorial content is solely the responsibility of Healthy Advice. It does not necessarily reflect the opinions or views of our sponsors.

  • Q: How is the program installed?
    A: The program display is attached to the wall with three small screws by a Healthy Advice installer.

  • Q: What is the actual size of the display unit?
    A: Size varies slightly by program but is approximately 23"w x 31"h x 5"d.

  • Q: Does the program require any additional work for our office staff?
    A: No. A professional service representative will visit your office regularly to restock brochures. Brochures can be ordered free of charge at any time by your practice.

  • Q: When can we expect our exam room program to be installed?
    A: Installations are typically completed within three to six weeks from the date of your enrollment.

  • Q: Can the units be installed in my hallway or waiting room?
    A: No. All display units must be hung in the exam rooms. The program materials are designed to facilitate patient interaction at the point of care. In addition, patients have reported that they prefer to have the materials in the exam room where they can read them in privacy.

  • Q: What if we don’t like the program once it’s installed? Can we cancel?
    A: We ask that you use the program for six months and see if it meets your patient-education needs. If it doesn't, you may cancel your participation with a 30-day written notice. Your complete satisfaction is our goal.
